State Sponsored Business Owner 163 visa

Congratulations on your decision to apply for State Sponsorship for the Business Owner subclass 892 (Permanent Residence) Visa. Whatever the outcome of your application, the South Australian Government would like to commend you for your efforts over the last few years to establish your business and provide a positive contribution to our State. 

Prior to lodging your application for State Sponsorship of a visa subclass 892, Immigration SA assumes that you have completed a self-assessment against the Department of Immigration & Citizenship (DIAC) visa criteria and that you believe you qualify for the permanent residence visa. 

To obtain State Sponsorship for your Business Owner (Permanent Residence) subclass 892 visa from the South Australian Government (Immigration SA), you will need to demonstrate that your business has provided a benefit to the South Australian economy by at least one of the following:

• had an export focus and improving the State’s business links with overseas markets; or
• introduced new and/or improved technology to South Australia; or
• injected a significant amount of capital into a South Australian investment project(s); or
• created employment opportunities for South Australians.

Whilst your business may operate across several States in Australia, please note that the above criteria only applies to your South Australian business activities.
