Immigration SA is the state Government agency which is responsible for State Sponsorship. The South Australian Government values the contribution that business people make to our economy through increased exports, job creation, and the introduction of new and improved technology. Please read all the information about the sponsorship criteria outline in our website http://www.immigration.sa.gov.au before you proceed. To qualify for migration under the State/Territory Sponsored Business Skills migration program, you must meet not only the sponsorship criteria set out by the State Government of South Australia, but also meet all the visa criteria set out by the Commonwealth Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC). Before applying for sponsorship please visit the DIAC website http://www.immi.gov.au to assess your eligibility to migrate. Once you have assessed your eligibility for state sponsorship and DIAC requirements you may apply via the on line application on this website. Please note at this stage you can only apply on line for 163 / 164 / 165 visa sub classes. After you have completed the on-line application form, you will be instructed on the Application Cover Sheet (Form A) to what documents need to be sent to Immigration SA. Please only send the documents that are outlined on Form A. Please note that Immigration SA may at a later date request further documentation. It is important that you folio and present all documents in the alphabetical order as outlined in Form A, by placing the appropriate letter in the top right hand corner. Please use subdividing tabs/flags in your application where possible. When you have submitted the application electronically and have collated all the necessary documents, POST or COURIER the Application Cover Sheet together with all the supporting documents as indicated in Form A to Immigration SA. Your application will remain on the Immigration SA database for two months from the date of submitting your application electronically. If all your documents have NOT been submitted and received by Immigration SA within the time frame, your on-line application may be deleted from the database and you will need to submit a new application. Email or faxed documents will not be accepted. Processing of your application will only commence when the on-line application has been submitted electronically AND all the supporting documentation as out lined in Form A have been received by Immigration SA. Current processing time is within 4 weeks from the time the application has been submitted in full. You can track the process of your application by using the Immigration SA website via the client tracking system. The main applicant (or if instructed, their agent) will be contacted with the out come of the decision within 4 weeks of receiving the completed application. There is no fee/charge for processing State Sponsorship applications by Immigration SA. All information must be provided in English or the application will not be processed. Sponsorship approvals from Immigration SA are valid for 12 months and are not transferable to any other state or territory.
